The Utah Education Association Convention & Education Exposition is the largest professional conference for educators in Utah. Drawing thousands of attendees annually, the conference provides nearly 40 professional learning workshops for K-12 educators, 300 exhibitors in the Exhibit Hall, and several special events over the two-day period. Educators, parents, legislators, and community leaders participate in this annual event. The 2008 convention will take place Thursday, October 16 and Friday, October 17, 2008, at the South Towne Exposition Center in Sandy, UT (www.southtowneexpo.com ).
The theme of the 2008 convention will be Best Practices: Pursuing Excellence for ALL. The UEA is currently seeking those interested in offering professional learning workshops on this theme. All prospective presenters should be aware of the following information:
Presentation proposals must be submitted to the UEA no later than Friday, May 30, 2008. These proposals will be reviewed by the UEA Convention Committee, and selected presenters will be notified by July 1, 2008.
