Experience
What I learned about UEA that surprised me:
"I do not recall ever being surprised about anything about UEA; however, on many occasions I have been very pleased to discover something wonderful that UEA was doing that I was not aware of before."
What I value most about the Association:
"Political involvement-representation with the Legislature, the Governor, the school boards, the district superintendents, etc.; communications with members regarding education issues; and negotiations and collaboration between my local and my district."
How members might begin to be more active in the Association:
"Start by taking small steps-volunteer to help your AR distribute materials, conduct elections, post handouts on the association bulletin board in your school, etc. Volunteer to be on a local or UniServ committee which addresses issues you are interested in."
