What I learned about UEA that surprised me: "That there are too many fragments within the state association that do not cooperate well enough with the others and the state leadership and therefore we are only as strong as our weakest link-hopefully that can improve over time."
What I value most about the Association: "That we are 'the voice' for teachers in the state and the only group that really represents the best interests of career teachers."
How members might begin to be more active in the Association: "That has always been the greatest challenge it seems to me-I think we have to keep communicating about our efforts and solicit more involvement."
