Barbera was elected by a statewide vote of UEA members.
Barbera's Thoughts:
What I learned about UEA that surprised me: “I have always known that the UEA puts it members first. What surprised me was just how much UEA does to strengthen our profession as a whole so we may provide a great education for all children."
What I value most about the Association: "I value the association's work ethic and the length it will go to support all of us. It is amazing to me how many people can work collectively to connect with the people it is representing and be so successful."
How members might begin to be more active in the Association: "Members can become more active by using their voice. They can pass on information, voice their opinion, bring issues to the association, and vote. This will help the association have a clear understanding of its members needs."
